Cardinal outside the window

Cardinals always mean that someone you've lost is near by, or so I've heard. Well, recently I noticed many new cards were showing the SU window on Christmas cards. I fell in love!

Last year I kept some cards that I received for Christmas to recycle, but didn't really know how I was going to do it until I found "the window."  Seriously, how could you NOT love this idea.

I got right to work and cut up the front of the card, mounted it behind the window, added some greenery, a wooden snowflake, a red button, some linen thread,  a thin lit "merry" to red shiny background paper, and some glitter to the snow on the branches. The base card is dove grey.

Here comes Christmas!!!

Here is the female Cardinal. I changed her message to "peace"and added a larger wooden snowflake and yellow button with linen thread.
